Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Wordly handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: July 14, 2026Developer: HZF Apps

1. Who we are

Wordly is a mobile word game developed and published by HZF Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the Wordly Android and iOS applications and this website.

Wordly does not require you to create an account. If you have a privacy question or request, contact us at hzfapps.dev@gmail.com.

2. Information stored on your device

Wordly stores the following information locally on your device so the game can work:

  • Daily, Endless, and friend-challenge progress, including guesses and results.
  • Heart balance, settings, sound preferences, selected game options, and reminder preferences.
  • Created or joined challenge codes and the information needed to resume a challenge.
  • Your Wordly Pro status after it is confirmed by the applicable app store and RevenueCat.

This local information normally remains until you clear the app's data or uninstall Wordly. It is not used to create a public profile.

3. Analytics through Vexo

We use Vexo Analytics to understand how Wordly is used, diagnose problems, and improve gameplay. Depending on the features we enable, Vexo may process app and device information such as operating system, device model, screen size, app version, language or region, approximate location derived from network information, screen views, taps, navigation, session duration, crashes, performance information, and custom gameplay events.

Vexo may provide session replay and heatmap tools. We do not intentionally send your secret challenge words, typed guesses, contact details, payment details, or other personal text as analytics event properties. Sensitive text inputs should be masked or excluded when replay features are used.

Vexo acts as a service provider for analytics. You can learn more in the Vexo Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising through Google AdMob

The free version of Wordly may show native ads after a completed game and optional rewarded ads for hints or heart refills. Google Mobile Ads and its advertising partners may process information such as IP address, device and advertising identifiers, app interactions, ad impressions and clicks, diagnostics, and approximate location, subject to your device settings and applicable consent choices.

Where required, Wordly uses Google's consent tools to request or manage advertising choices. Wordly Pro removes Wordly's ad placements. Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases through Google Play, the App Store, and RevenueCat

Wordly Pro purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple, not directly by us. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases, maintain entitlement status, restore purchases, and show available plans.

RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, product identifiers, purchase and subscription status, transaction and receipt information, store platform, app version, device information, and related diagnostics. Purchase history must remain available as needed to provide and restore Wordly Pro, prevent fraud, handle refunds, and comply with legal and accounting requirements.

Learn more in the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy, and Apple Privacy Policy.

6. Notifications

If you enable the daily reminder, Wordly asks for notification permission and schedules a repeating local notification on your device. The reminder does not require a Wordly account or a server-side push token. You can disable it from Wordly's settings or your device settings.

7. Friend challenges

Friend challenges are shared through a link or compact code and do not require a Wordly account or Wordly-hosted database. The code contains the secret word in an encoded, reversible form so that the recipient's app can open the challenge. Do not post a challenge code publicly unless you are comfortable letting others access that challenge.

8. This website and Vercel

This website is hosted using Vercel. When you visit it, Vercel may process standard technical request information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps, security signals, and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the website. We do not currently use a website account system or intentionally place marketing cookies through this website.

Vercel's handling of information is described in the Vercel Privacy Policy.

9. How we use and share information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Wordly.
  • Save progress and preferences.
  • Deliver ads and optional rewards in the free version.
  • Process, verify, and restore Wordly Pro purchases.
  • Measure feature use, investigate errors, and prevent abuse or fraud.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We share information with service providers described in this policy only for these purposes. We do not sell personal information. Advertising providers may process information for advertising purposes as described in their policies and your consent choices.

10. Retention and deletion

Local game data remains on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app. Service providers retain information according to their own retention rules and as needed for analytics, security, purchase restoration, legal compliance, and fraud prevention.

Because Wordly has no user account, the easiest way to delete local Wordly data is to clear the app's storage or uninstall it. To request deletion of analytics or other information that may be associated with an anonymous identifier, email us with your device platform and enough information for us to investigate the request. We may need to retain purchase records where required by law or to preserve lifetime purchase restoration.

11. Your choices and rights

  • Disable notifications through Wordly or your device settings.
  • Reset or limit your device advertising identifier and advertising personalization through system settings.
  • Use available consent or privacy options shown by Google Mobile Ads.
  • Clear local app data or uninstall Wordly.
  • Contact us to exercise privacy rights available in your country, such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent.

12. Children's privacy

Wordly is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information should contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Wordly, our providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page will show when the latest version took effect. Material changes may also be communicated inside the app or through the store listing.

15. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to HZF Apps at hzfapps.dev@gmail.com.
